Chapter 40 - Just Wishes - Gen 5

I love being a young adult, no school and no curfews.  So I can stop out all night playing for tips if I want to and don't have to worry about the time, all I have to worry about is the sun, but I think that is worse than having a curfew!!!  I now have 225 days stretching ahead of me before I become a mature adult, vampires having a much longer lifespan than human sims.

I have this one particular paparazzi following me around wherever I go, her name is Deana.  She actually looks more dead than I am and she isn't a vampire!!  There are definately some strange looking folk in Wishy Bay.  I am slowly finding things out about her by reading her mind - one of the fun parts of being a vampire.

Dana has settled into our new town better than the rest of us.  She met someone at work - Moe Pesce, they are now married and he has moved in with us and they have their first baby on the way.  For the moment Moe is still human, but is considering being turned into a vampire.  I hope he knows what hes doing, I wish there was a way to turn from vampire to human - because I think I would take it!!!

Dad is still just moping around and me, I can not decide which career path to take - music, painting or writing - I would like to do all three.  But one thing I wanted to do before I get tied down by work is travel to Egypt.

So here I am at base camp - frying in the sun - not a good choice of holiday destination really for a vampire is it!!

Looking on the notice board to see what there was to do around here - I noticed someone wanted somebody to do a little tomb raiding for them, sounds like it could be fun I would love to fully explore a tomb!!

The job was to retrieve some important documents from the Tomb of Discovery.

I have a map - not sure how much help it is going to be - it tells me to go through the door, but it doesn't give me any clues as to how to open it.

Well, it didn't take a genius to work out the crescent shape black fitted into the crescent shaped hole.  The chains snaps open, now I can go through the door.

An interesting empty room.  A floor tile with foot prints on it, standing on the foot marks creates a load rumbling noise and a staircase opens up in the floor.

mmmm this map is definitely no help.  Standing on this floor switch does not do anything - so I wander how do I get it to work??

This is heavy!!!  I think i need to do some jogging and working out to build up my strength.  Moving the stone statue over the floor switch snapped the chains on the door for me to enter the next room.

Eventually I found what I was looking for!!  Time to delivery the documents.

Now - doesn't that just spoil the view!!!!

Stretched limo in the middle of the pyramids and sand dunes - I dont think so!!!!

There is a drawback to being chauffeur driven sometimes!!

Ohhhhhhhhh I didnt tell you did I, just before I came travelling to Egypt I achieved my LTW - Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous - I am now a 5 star celebrity and have more than $100,000 in the bank!!!!

After delivering the documents, from the Tomb of Discovery, and receiving my reward I decided to go to the market, I wanted to buy a camera.  Some nice little shops in the market place, I ended up buying new skill books, fishing books, recipie books, camera, mummitarian (whatever that is) a tent, some new friut we dont get back home and a mummy teddy bear for my new neice or nephew coming soon!!

 I thought I might be left alone in Egypt, but it seems, wherever I go in the world, everyone knows who I am.

Autographs and posing for photo's - it would be nice to get a break from it sometimes!!!

After having a nights sleep in a tent in basecamp, toilet, shower and plasma juice and I was all set for my second day in Egypt.  I decided I wanted to visit the sphinx, so with my tent and plenty of plasma fruit I set off to do some more exploring in the sphinx tomb.

 That's a frightening sight!!

I managed to put out the fires by dragging a stone statue around the room, a little swim and hours of working out puzzles and finding hidden switches and doors to get through the tomb. I was finding lots of coins and treasure to take home with me.

"Hello - anybody in there?"  

Good job they were both empty, Ive heard some nasty tales about tomb mummies!!

Am I glad I brought this tent from the market!!!  I was bushed, not really expecting to take so long getting through the sphinx tomb - I ended up spending the night in a tent in the middle of the tomb somewhere - a little creepy its too quiet!!

Four dive wells - three clear and one purple.   Luckily I went for the purple one and found a lever at the bottom so I pulled it.

The lever opened a secret door into quite a nice room, where I found another secret door in the wall.

Bonus!!  A toilet and a bath - I was beginning to worry about not being able to go to the toilet, and took advantage of the bath too - the water was a little cold, but I didn't stink any more.

Clearing rubble piles is not much fun, but it has to be done for me to get any further through the tomb.

I had found a star shaped stone block in a chest a while back - it fitted perfectly into the hole.

even though I didnt like clearing rubble piles, I liked the surprize of what I found underneath.

 

Unfortunately - this is where I had to exit the tomb - my 3 day trip was over and if I didn't hurry up I would miss my flight back home.  But I will be back to complete this tomb one day I hope!!  But quite good timing to be leaving as socially I am craving company, spent too much time with myself the past few days.

Quite shattered from my travels, I went to sleep pretty early and was really happy to sleep in a nice comfortable bed.

I don't know how long I had been asleep, but it was after dark, suddenly a very loud squealing noise woke me up.  It was the burglar alarm.  I rushed downstairs to find a burglar in the hallway.

The alarm woke up the whole house, and the police were there so quickly the burglar did not get the chance to get away.  The burglar resisted arrest at first, but gave up when he realized there was no escaping.

Finally the alarm stops ringing!!!!  I am not sure what the burglar took yet, if anything, I am just glad he didn't take the mummified teddy bear, I bought back from Egypt for the baby.

Chapter 39 - Just Wishes - Gen 5

NEW BEGINNINGS

We moved away from everyone and everything we knew. 

All we took with us was the clothes on our backs, the money in the bank and moms gravestone.

Dad was not coping with moms death and wanted to move away from the everyday reminders he had around him.  He got a job transfer to the grocery store in Wishy Bay, so thats where we went just the four of us - Dad, Dana, Dean and me.  Dawn and Henry were settled in Wishacy Valley and didn't want to come with us, but its not like we weren't going to see them again, we could always visit.  The hardest part for Dad was leaving Daryl, his half brother and Ingrid, my half sister,  behind but she was just a reminder of why mom and dads relationship was not good at the end.  A new town - a new beginning - it was quite scary!!!!!

The house that dad found, was quite big, probably too big for what we needed, but it was either that or something way too small, there were not many empty houses in Wishy Bay.  The house is badly decorated but that did not bother us so much - most importantly, there is a huge basement and being vampires, this is where we would be spending most of our time, in the dark.

I suppose I ought to show you around our new house!!

I am sure we will find a use for this room soon enough, at the moment all it has in it is a grand piano.

There are some strange fish in here!!

Upstairs there are 5 bedrooms and a bathroom - all in bad need of redecorating - I think who ever lived in this house before must have bought a bulk order of  wallpaper because its the same in every room except for the kitchen and bathrooms!!  This floor of the house will hardly be used as four new coffins have been placed in a dark corner of the basement.

In the garden is a huge swimming pool and hot tub that we will hardly use.

It is quite scary living in a new town, we don't know anyone, but being celebrities everyone knows who we are.  And finding your way around a new town, well at least I suppose we have the advantage of being chauffeur driven everywhere, at least we won't get lost!!

Mine and Deans new school isn't that much different to our old school except for all the new faces, I can not wait to make some new friends - not that I have much time left at school!!

This town is so quiet, it is a lot smaller than Wishacy Valley, I went playing for tips in the park and hardly saw a sole.

Dad makes a start on renovating and redecorating the house by making the fireplace fireproof.

Mom's ghost makes its first appearance, forcing dad to sleep in a bed that night.  Even though I am not so sure it is a good thing, for Dad,  to have moms ghost wandering around the place, Dad seems to be comforted by it - he still might get the chance to put thier relationship right.

and me I've had my birthday - I am now a young adult.

Now lets see what mischief I can get up to in this sleepy town!!!

The move to a new town (Barnacle Bay) became for me a necessity - i had been having problems with sticking sims in the game, it cleared up for a while,  then after the last patch and update my town became a nightmare - too many glitches and I think that Caseys premature death was caused by a glitch.  So one day into the 5th Generation I decided to move the family to a new and fresh town - so far so good - no problems and my wishacy continues.

I don't think I turned out too badly, a little on the skinny side maybe, but you can't have it all!!  I am a vampire like the rest of my family and mom says I inherited my purple hair from her mom, Grandma Billie, which is kind of cool as my favourite colour is lilac.  My favourite music is Chinese, not that I've ever been to china, but hopefully one day!!  My lifetime Wish is the lifestyle of the Rich and Famous, and as I have rich 5 star celebrity parents, I am only actually one star away from achieving my LTW, being a 4 star celebrity myself.  My traits are Virtuoso, Neat, Hopelessly Romantic and Artistic.

Basically music is my life, I spend every spare minute that I have playing one or the other of our musical instruments, I have mastered the skill for all four - guitar, drums, piano and bass. 

I raided the bookstore a while back and brought all the different sheet music that they had for all the instruments I play - I was quite impressed when I got a big discount just for being me, a celebrity.

I sometimes go and play outside the theatre for tips, and sometimes I earn quite a bit in tips, but it has also gotten me into trouble a few times too because I have lost track of time and been out after my curfew.  A few times my dad has been waiting for me on the doorstep fuming when a police car has taken me home.

I swear I live with a load of pigs not vampires!!  I seem to be the only one in the house that cares about the state of the place - I'm sure I do more of the housework than all of the rest of my family combined, but I don't mind I actually enjoy it!!

Dana had her birthday - she is now a young adult and works at the local hospital

Being artistic I also love to paint - already I have painted a few masterpieces - maybe I could become a self employed painter one day - but my first passion is definately music.

I am also writing a book, a romance novel, not that I have had any experience in that department - romance that is, but I am recieving $54 for every chapter I have submitted to the publishers, so I am hoping that it will be at least a hit!!

All in all, at the moment life is not too bad, I am doing ok at school, when I manage to fit my homework in that is, and it is 10 days to my birthday, when I become a young adult and the real fun begins!!!
Life was good - so I thought!!

Nobody knows what happened exactly, even Uncle Caine, who works at the stadium with mom, said it happened so suddenly.  Casey and Caine walked out of the stadium together after finishing playing in a game, and she just collapsed and burnt up as vampires do when they expire.  There was nothing anyone could do and we didn't even know why - she had 100's of years ahead of her - it wasn't her time.

The shock of moms premature and tragic death was all too much for us all to take!!!  I don't know, how we were going to get over it, especially Dad who feels guilty that they never repaired their relationship, and could not bear the thought of the 100's of years stretching out a head of him living without her.

Caseys death was a shock and mystery to me - she was at work with ok needs - all nice and grreen.  She left work and her needs levels suddenly turned all red.  Her moodlets said she was starved, had had too much sun and had no energy.  I can't say she had been suffering from the stuck glitch that i have been having problems with lately  because when the camera automatically swung to the stadium I watched her walk out of the stadium then just disintigrate - quite worrying and very weird!!!  And how close a shave did I have - if that had happened a day earlier it would have been game over for my wishacy - as the day before I changed heirs - and just in the nick of time!!!!!!
