My life will never be the same again!!

Since Mikie's death Aleksey had changed, he was now very quiet and distant, quite often I would come across him just standing there staring into space. At first I gave him the space I thought he needed, he had to come to terms with his dads death. But I was now beginning to worry there was something else, I didn't know what it was - all I know is that at the moment he just isn't Aleksey any more!!!

Alarm bells started ringing in my head when i overheard Damen and Dean nattering away to each other the one day.

"I saw Daddy and Nanna Cherry hugging the other day" Dean said

"She's always crying because Grandad Mikie died" Damen replied

"Nooooooooo, they were mom and dad hugging"

"Dont be a silly billy, wanna play tag"

Mom and Dad hugging - I wander what Dean meant by that. Aleksey had been spending a lot of time next door lately, but I know he felt like he was now responsible for his little brother now his dad isn't around.

This morning I had gotten up early and was out the front of the house before daylight reading a book. I saw Alekesey popping next door like he did most morning to see Daryl off to school. I carried on reading thinking nothing of it. The school bus came and my kids and Daryl all jumped on and went off to school. I went inside because the sun was blaring and I was beginning to smoke, as vampires do in the sun.

Over an hour later Aleksey still hadn't returned home. I wander why he has stayed round there so long after Daryl had gone off to school?? I thought I would pop round and make sure everything was alright, I know from Aleksey that Cherry had been very depressed of late. Rang the doorbell, no answer, looked through the window and I couldn't see them. So I popped round the back to see if the backdoor was open and it was so I let myself in.

"Cherry, its only me" I called and got no reply.

Walking into to the empty livingroom I could hear strange noises coming from upstaiirs. Walking up the stairs I could hear the noise clearer and I really was not liking what I was hearing. Normally I would have and should have left, but I heard Cherry say Aleksey's name, so I carried on, walking into the bedroom seeing something I didnt really want to see.

That was when my whole world fell apart.

"OMG - WHAT THE ..............."

"Casey - don't - its not what it looks like!!" Aleksey pleaded

"WHAT???!!!!! NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE - OMG - I HAVE HEARD IT ALL NOW!!"

I ran out of the room in tears - what was I going to do now?? I ran down the stairs, not really knowing what I was going to do. Aleksey caught up with me.

"Casey pleeeeeease - stop - I'm sorry"

"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?? and the kids, what am I going to tell the kids???

"I'm sorry I......."

WHY? WHY? Just tell me why Aleksey

"I don't know - I - it just happened - I don't know"

How long has this been going on???

It hasn't - only this once I promise"

LIAR!!!

"I promise --"

"You are a liar - I overheard a conversation between the boys a few days ago, now I understand what they meant, this must have been going on for ages Aleksey"

"It hasn't, honestly, - ok she's been flirting with me but nothing happened till today"

He was lying of course !!

You know I love you - I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you!

"Don't you dare touch me!!!"

"I'm sorry please forgive me it won't happen again - I promise!!!"

And of course Cherry got more than a mouthful!!

"Do you realize what you've done, besides ruined everything we ever had, if the press find out about this - how will I ever hold my head up in public again???"

"Don't - just don't - you disgust me!!"

We slept in the same bed that night but very much apart.

We didn't speak for days, Aleksey kept trying but I just couldn't deal with it
- I didn't know how I was going to get over this betrayal.

"We need to sort this out - we can not go on like this for the kids sake"
and he was right, when the kids found out what had happened, we started having problems with them one by one, and the longer we carried on the worse it was getting. We no longer had a happy house!!

So we talked, but didn't really resolve anything - our relationship was in a terrible state, neither of us wanted to break up, we wanted to fix things - but how?? We even talked about moving away to a new town, where we can make a fresh start - but moving away was not going to fix our relationship!!

Dawn had taken to going out after school, probably to avoid the atmosphere in the house. She got brought home by the police a few times for staying out after curfew
